# TOK exhibition
Decent
Exhibition
Essentials
In simple terms your object should exist in evident time & place and have a story around it. The more specific the better!
Remember: an image of a man - bad object for TOK exhibition;
while a photofit image used to wrongly accuse an individual - can make a really good object.
You need to explain the connection between the object and the prompt. Basically showing why out of gazillion of possible objects you chose yours to approach the question. & how it fits ;)
Justification for inclusion is your attempt to answer the prompt. You need to show how the object provides a unique opportunity to explore the prompt & knowledge issues.

Prompt
Analysis
The very success of your TOK Exhibition depends on your ability to explore the prompt. In order to do it you need to understand what it asks, what are the masked obstacles and how it can be approached from different sides.
Always do the analysis & deconstruction of the question first
Watch closely
Prompt #14: "Does some knowledge belong only to particular communities of knowers?" This is a really interesting one that will include exploration of different knowledge communities. One approach to make sure that all of your objects approach the prompt differently, would be choosing objects from contrasting communities. Alternatively, (maybe and even better way) is to explore what "belonging" could mean in context of different objects(e.g. true understanding/ ability to change or control/ misinterpretation from anyone outside of the community).
TOK Prompt #14: "Does some knowledge belong only to particular communities of knowers?"
Remember that you have a possibility to argue different directions: Yes, it does (culture-specific knowledge); No, it does not (universal knowledge); Depends (context-specific).
Prompt #15: "What constraints are there on the pursuit of knowledge?". This prompt invites to discuss possible obstacles that might occur when knowers try to gain or produce knowledge. The options are numerous!! Think filter bubbles, optical illusions, financing in sciences or vested interest. Don't forget that your job is to find objects showcasing 3 distinct constrains; easiest option is to find obstacles from differnt themes that you studied.
TOK Prompt #15: "What constraints are there on the pursuit of knowledge?"
Remember that you can talk about constraints that can be encountered by individuals, communities of knowers, experts and many more.
Choosing
OBJECTS
After you gained understanding on how to work with your prompt it is time to choose your objects. REMEMBER: It is generic objects such as 'a phone', 'an encyclopedia' or 'superstitions' that fail students. Ask yourself: "Is it evident that my objects are specific and connected to stories in real life?" If the answer is YES than your exhibition is already saved from being marked as mediocre.
